WE ARE MEMBERS OF BISHOPSTON’S “CRIW CYMRAEG”.

The purpose of the “Criw Cymraeg” is to promote Welshness in  school and encourage other pupils and staff to use Welsh everyday outside the Welsh classroom.

Pwrpas y Criw Cymraeg ydy codi ymwybyddiaeth o'r iaith Gymraeg o gwmpas yr ysgol ac annog disgyblion a staff i ddefnyddio'r iaith bob dydd o gwmpas yr ysgol ac tu fewn i'r ystafell ddosbarth.

Also as part of our goal to achieve the Siarter Iaith “Bronze Award”, we believe it is important that we learn about our heritage and culture and we enjoy promoting days such as: Shwmae day, Dydd Miwsig Cymru, Dydd Gwyl Dewi and participating in our school and Urdd Eisteddfodau.

We look forward to visiting our feeder Primary schools to learn and share good practice and we can’t wait to see how they hope to achieve Siarter Iaith awards, like us. So we hope to learn from each other.

Rydym yn edrych ymlaen i ymweld a ysgolion cynradd lleol a rhannu arfer dda a dysgu wrth ein gilydd sut mae modd cyflawni wobrau Siarter Iaith. 

As a Criw Cymraeg we feel it is important to hear the Welsh language being spoken everyday in our school and we believe it is vital to celebrate the Welsh ethos we have here at Bishopston.

Fel Criw Cymraeg rydym yn teimlo ei bod yn bwysig i glywed yr iaith Gymraeg yn cael eu defnyddio yn gyson yn ein hysgol ac rydym yn awyddus i ddathlu'r ethos Gymraeg sydd gyda ni yma yn Ysgol Gyfun Llandeilo Ferwwallt. 

We hope to increase our opportunities to speak, practice and have fun learning Welsh in extra curricular clubs like: Welsh club, Sports Club, Chess Club and Movie club

NAWS GYMREIG - WELSH ETHOS

Sofia Warchal (Year 8 pupil) has been very busy with Miss. Rule's help in the Technology department, in creating Welsh pillows to put on the chairs in the school office.

Mae Sofia Warchal (Disgybl blwyddyn 8) wedi bod yn brysur iawn, gyda help Miss. Rule yn yr Adran Dechnoleg, i greu clystogau Cymreig i'w osod ar seddi'r swyddfa.

CLWB CYMRAEG - WELSH CLUB

The Criw Cymraeg promoting the Welsh clubs amongst their peers and aspects within the Welsh dimension. Also, inviting primary schools to lunch clubs with the Menter iaith. 

Criw Cymraeg yn hybu'r clybiau Cymraeg ymhlith y disgyblion. Hefyd, gwahoddiad i ysgolion Cynradd i ddod amser cinio gyda'r Menter Iaith.

Governors ensure that The language Charter is central part of the school’s plans and supports implementation.

Llywodraethwyr yn sicrhau bod y Siarter Iaith yn rhan ganolog o'r ysgol ac yn cefnogi pob achlysur megis Eisteddfod yr ysgol.
